I love how the photos remind us of the natural world whether we are “1000 miles from anywhere” or in our own backyards.

I live near there and have spotted quite a few hawks in the area lately. Do the hawks of GG Park live there year round, or do they migrate elsewhere for the winter?

    • Some of them are moving through so you may see an increase in hawk activity now, but there are resident birds that stay year round and breed in the spring. Red-shouldered Hawks and Redtails are both known to breed arounf the chain of lakes.
