Common Raven
A Raven vocalizing in the Marin Headlands. I’ve always liked them. They are stunning birds with a wide variety of calls and great character and intelligence. Below, another Raven with a few new feathers growing in.

My ex-bf’s father had a “pet” crow. He said it was a master of intelligence and intrigue!

Walter,
Allen Fish might like these photos to serve as examples of a species that used to
inhabit Hawk Hill.
I enjoy all your photos.

Hi Richard, These ravens were actually photographed on Hawk Hill last week during a raptorially slow day. I’ll make sure to send them Allen’s way. Thanks.

Walter,
Yes. I was there that day and saw both you and the pair. It was a slow day, but
the ravens are always good company.

I love ravens too. In fact I just finished a draft on my blog on birding in my province and somehow ended up talking about ravens haha!
Anyhow, just wanted to stop in and say great blog and great pics!
