…just like my dog who can endlessly sit and stare at a hole in the ground waiting for that gopher to pop it’s head up. Luckily she’s never skilled enough to catch one…although secretly I don’t think she really wants to.

I’ve seen Red Tails hunting gophers along the median of Sunset in SF, near GG Park. When they swoop down to the ground, they stomp the target with one foot it appears, and then fly off with the prey in their clutches.
